NSCA - Performance Analysis Video
Using Dartfish® Video Analysis Software, the NSCA will feature a new training tip each month. This state of the art software enables coaches, trainers, and teams to capture a lift, movement, or an entire game and receive instant feedback, from an integrated video clip.
The Snatch Shrug is a multi-joint, total body, skill transfer exercise which can be performed on its own or used as a teaching progression for learning the Snatch exercise. This exercise teaches the importance of a fast second pull by emphasizing the violent shrugging of the shoulders required to move an optimal amount of weight when performing the Snatch.
Before attempting to perform any advanced lifting movement, such as the Snatch or any of the skill transfer exercises used in the learning progression for this lift, it is important to seek the guidance and supervision of a qualified strength and conditioning professional to ensure proper technique is utilized and safety is maximized.
