NSCA - Performance Analysis Video

Using Dartfish® Video Analysis Software, the NSCA will feature a new training tip each month. This state of the art software enables coaches, trainers, and teams to capture a lift, movement, or an entire game and receive instant feedback, from an integrated video clip.

The Romanian Dead Lift is an exercise that requires the athlete to lower, and then raise a barbell while maintaining a slight knee flexion, straight arms and a flat back. In order to accomplish this, the lifter must eccentrically/concentrically contract the gluteals and hamstrings, while isometrically contracting the erector spinae. Therefore, this exercise can improve several sport specific strength characteristics in athletes requiring core strength in a standing or running posture.
