NSCA - Performance Analysis Video

Using Dartfish® Video Analysis Software, the NSCA will feature a new training tip each month. This state of the art software enables coaches, trainers, and teams to capture a lift, movement, or an entire game and receive instant feedback, from an integrated video clip.

The Clean Shrug is a multi-joint, total body, skill transfer exercise often used in the instruction process when teaching the Clean exercise. This exercise is characterized by triple extension of the ankles, knees, and hips, and an exaggerated emphasis on shrugging the shoulders toward the ears while keeping the arms straight and the elbows pointed outward, towards the ends of the bar. Before attempting to perform any advanced lift, such as the Clean or the skill transfer exercises progressing to this lift, it is important to seek the guidance and supervision of a qualified strength and conditioning professional.
