You do not need to be an NSCA member or purchase anything to particiapate in the Index Competitions.
NSCA Index Competitions are a series of performance competitions for athletes under the age of 20. Athletes are tested in the Vertical Jump, Pro-Agility Run, 10-Yard Dash, and Hang Clean. Athletes receive Index Points based on their performance with body weight taken into consideration and a separate Index for boys and girls.
How Index Competitions work
The first competition is the National Qualifier where coaches test their athletes at their own facility and send them to the NSCA via e-mail.
The top 10 boys and top 10 girls from the National Qualifier are then invited Colorado Springs, Colorado to compete in a LIVE face-to-face National Index Championship.
The top boy and top girl from the National Index Championship will be invited to the International Index Invitational to compete against the top Index athletes from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Japan, and Canada.
