Position Start with:
4/1/2009 – The NSCA International Index Competition Committee has approved the use of the Position Start with the single hand down for the 10 Yard Dash at all National and International Index Competitions.
When the hand goes into the beam the light turns red. The hand can move in and out of the beam but when the hand is set for over a second the light turns green and a sound signals that the athlete is set and ready to run. The timer then begins when the athlete leaves the beam.
