NSCA Fly Solo Camp

Performance Program for High School Coaches

Calling all high school sport coaches and educators to participate in the Fly Solo Camp to enhance your current strength and conditioning programs. The Fly Solo Camp will improve your athletes’ performance and provide the necessary essentials to help prevent countless injuries. By demonstrating your ability to perform and coaches the major lifts, drills and tests, you will have earned a three year Certificate of Completion and an opportunity to purchase an Index Test License from the NSCA.

The Fly Solo Camp at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, California is hosted and facilitated by Boyd Epley. Founder of the NSCA, Epley is one of the world’s leading experts in sports conditioning and was honored on the cover of American Football Monthly magazine, which tabbed him as the Godfather of Strength and Conditioning.

Prior to registering for camp, all attendees must study the Fly Solo Flight Manual online at www.nsca-lift.org, and pass each module’s test.

Course instructors: Boyd Epley, Jake Wurth, and a few current Fly Solo Mentors

Camp Cost: $99 and $50 for students

Coach Certification Course

January 6-7, 2008

The NSCA in partnership with USA Weightlifting is brining its membership the Sports Performance Coach Certification Course immediately following the Sport Specific Training Conference. The aim of this course is for professionals to introduce their athletes, students, and clients to the techniques of weightlifting, plyometrics, and other explosive training methods as a means to improving athletic performance. Each candidate will come away with a body of knowledge and practical expertise to enable them to train a beginner to a level where they can perform these movements safely and effectively.

Course materials include: Manual, instructional DVD, and (upon passing exam) USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach polo shirt and certificate.

Course Instructors: Leo Totten, Chris Feder, and Mike Favre

Cost: $335. There will be a $65 late fee if you register for the course after the deadline.
