Hi,

According to the LTAD(long-term athlete development), you should focus on speed drills with short distances ( 10,20,30 m). One drill that I especially like ( and also the kids ) is ''Beat The World Record''

The drill is quite simple...all you gotta do is to give the ''Go'' command, and then the first kid sprints until 4 sec or 5 sec on your stopwatch. Place a cone on the floor where the kid was at 4 sec on the stopwatch. Then repeat 4 to 5 times per person( but not 2 times back to back). The goal is to beat the record by placing the cone further and further away. Be sure...the kids will give their 100 % ! I red this drill in NSCA (Mike Nikita).

Have fun !

Hello

I know you asked for games & movement activities, so please do not interpret this comment to be anything other than a suggestion that you may already doing. I realize kids desire a need to be entertained but during the off-season, it may a great opportunity to reenforce fundamental movement techniques that helps them improve as athletes, such as speed, agility, etc, - at least as part of your practice time.
