My better judgement is telling me the eccentric phase of exercise is an important contraction in the prevention of injury. I have no trouble finding anything related to throwing sports but I cannot find anything as it relates to the Deadlift. I see lifters emphasize the concentric but just drop the weight with no controlled eccentric movement.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
