Mark Stephenson, CSCS,*D, ATC, is the Director of the NSCA Human Performance Center. He has over 16 years of experience working with elite, professional, collegiate, and high school athletes. Coach Stephenson has worked in the private, professional, and Division I arenas. Prior to coming to the NSCA, he served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Providence College where he worked primarily with Men's Basketball and Men's and Women's Ice Hockey. Coach Stephenson is a Certified Athletic Trainer, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USA track and Field & Level I, and USA Weightlifting & Club Coach.

This presentation will show how proper nutrition fuels the body. We will discuss the every day nutrition as well as operational nutrition. This is a “food first” approach however; proper supplementation strategies will be addressed |
Jay Hoffman, PhD, CSCS*D, FNSCA, is the Chair of the Department of Health and Exercise Science at The College of New Jersey's. Dr. Hoffman holds a unique perspective in his exercise science background. Prior to his academic career he signed free agent contracts with the NY Jets and Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL and the Tampa Bay Bandits of the USFL. Recent honors and awards bestowed upon Dr. Hoffman include: 2005 Outstanding Kinesiology Professional Award from the Neag School of Education Alumni Society of the University of Connecticut, 2003 Educator of the Year National Strength Conditioning Association (NSCA), 2003 Neag School of Education Outstanding Alumni Research Award (University of Connecticut). Dr. Hoffman served three years on the Board of Directors of the NSCA and also served as Vice-President.

Matthew Domyancic, MS,is a police officer with the Fairfax County Police Department in Fairfax, VA. Matt is a member of the Law Enforcement Training Unit for the department and is responsible fro strength, conditioning, and officer survival training. He is also member of the Supplemental SWAT Team and Peer Support. Prior to becoming a police officer, Matt spent 4 years as a assistant strength and conditioning coach at Yale University and then 3 years as a part-time assistant strength and conditioning coach at Georgetown University. He began his academic career at the United States Air Force Academy where he was a member of the football team and completed his BS at Colgate University. He received his MS from the University of New Haven in New Have, CT.

This hands-on session will teach weight training exercise that help develop power. Different variations of lift will be taught such as the clean, snatch, and Jerk. |
Greg Infantolino, CSCS,currently serves as the HPC Coordinator/Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the NSCA’s Human Performance Center in Colorado Springs, CO. As part of his duties with the NSCA, Greg serves as the assistant strength and conditioning coach for CSPD SWAT & K-9, 10th Group Special Forces. In addition, Greg works with various sport and tactical athletes from police, military, and Firefighters.

This presentation will show how proper plyometric progressions can be utilized to develop power. Different variations and modalities will be taught such as jumps, hops, and throws. |
Jay Dawes, MS, CSCS, NSCA-PT,*D, is the Director of Education for the NSCA. Previously, he was the Owner/director of the 180 Center for Health and Performance in Edmond, Oklahoma and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at Oklahoma State University in Health and Human Performance/Exercise Science. Dawes serves the National Strength and Conditioning Association in various capacities, assisting as the Oklahoma State Director, a Conference Committee member, the Personal Trainers conference sub-committee chair, an Executive Council member for the Personal Trainers Special Interest Group (PTSIG), and as an editor for the Strength and Conditioning Journal’s One-on-One Column. |
