Activities

Welcome to the home page of the NSCA Weightlifting SIG. Our mission is to bring together NSCA members interested in promoting weightlifting in strength and conditioning. The WL SIG provides a forum for interested individuals to learn and share their experiences and knowledge in the study and practice of weightlifting in strength and conditioning. The history of the Weightlifting SIG stems from the lack of exposure and educational resources available to NSCA members regarding weightlifting exercises and methods. Our current projects include:

  1. Exposure articles for targeted groups within strength and conditioning (to be submitted to the Strength and Conditioning Journal)
  2. Web-based educational resources
  3. Promotional exhibitions to be held at local facilities (of SIG members) to introduce a greater number of individuals to weightlifting

Further information regarding the group as well as project updates will be posted quarterly on this home page.
