This session will take attendees through the process of incorporating power, speed and agility training into a comprehensive training plan.

Program Design Case Study (Hands On) NSCA Staff

This is a hands-on, application-based session in which the attendees will break into small groups to design a plyometric, speed and agility programs. The idea is to incorporate the information presented during the course of the symposium. Groups will be allowed to think about and discuss the characteristics of the programs they want to design. All of the NSCA presenters will be available to offer assistance and/ or answer questions during this time.

Olympic Lifting for Improved Athletic Performance Mark Stephenson

In this session learn the rationales for utilizing weight lifting movements and techniques for athletes participating in a variety of sports.

Teaching the Olympic Lifts (hands on) Mark Stephenson/Greg Infantalino

This hands-on session will teach weight training exercise that help develop power. Different variations of lift will be taught such as the clean, snatch, and Jerk.

Agility Training Methods Jay Dawes/Mark Roozen

This session will the various tests that can be utilized to assess speed, agility and quickness. A variety of drills will also be introduced.
