Welcome

A major goal of the Foundation is to maximize assets in order to increase grants and scholarships for NSCA members. Donations come from contributors and selected sponsors who are also dedicated to science and research.

With the growth of the Foundation, the NSCA has the ability to give back to its membership, affirming its mission of being the worldwide authority on strength and conditioning, supporting and disseminating research-based knowledge and its practical application to improve athletic performance and fitness.

President’s Message

Our NSCA Foundation assets continue to grow which means we are able to offer greater support to NSCA members in the field of Strength and Conditioning. This year we funded 9 Grants totaling $126,565.80 and 44 Scholarships totaling $66,000 bringing the 2011 grand total to $192,565.80. This represents approximately a 60% increase over 2010.

We want to express our gratitude to NSCA Foundation Grant sponsor GNC ($10,000) and Scholarship sponsor Power Systems ($1,000) for their generous financial support of our members.

Please go to the Governance page of the NSCAF website to view the Foundation’s ‘Spending Policy’ and ‘Investment Policy Statement’. These two important documents lay the framework for how our endowment is invested and spent. A very big Thank You to NSCAF Board of Directors members Dr. Jill Bush and Dr. Joan Eckerson for their diligent efforts this past year.
