Membership Categories
Certified Professional Member
Certified Professional membership is available to any member who is certified by the NSCA Certification Commission as either a CSCS or NSCA-CPT. Privileges include:
- Attend meetings and conferences
- Vote in NSCA general elections
- Eligible to hold office
- Eligible to serve on NSCA committees
- Eligible to chair NSCA committees
- Receive Strength and Conditioning Journal, Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research and NSCA Bulletin
- Receive membership services
- Eligible to speak at conferences and workshops
- Eligible for NSCA group liability insurance
Certified Professional Member with Insurance
Certified Professional membership with Insurance is offered to any member who is certified by the NSCA Certification Commission as either CSCS or NSCA-CPT who has purchased liability insurance. Privileges are the same as above. For further information regarding Certified Professional Membership with Insurance, contact NSCA National Headquarters at 800-815-6826.
Professional Member
Professional membership is offered to any member interested or affiliated with the strength and conditioning field who is not certified by the NSCA Certification Commission as a CSCS or NSCA-CPT. Privileges include:
- Attend meetings and conferences
- Vote in NSCA general elections
- Eligible to serve on NSCA committees
- Receive Strength and Conditioning Journal, Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research and NSCA Bulletin
- Receive membership services
Certified Student Member
Certified Student membership is offered to any full-time undergraduate student, or graduate student, who is certified by the NSCA Certification Commission as either a CSCS or NSCA-CPT. Privileges include:
- Attend meetings and conferences
- Vote in NSCA general elections
- Eligible to serve on NSCA committees
- Receive Strength and Conditioning Journal, Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, and NSCA Bulletin
- Receive membership services
- Eligible for NSCA group liability insurance
Student Member
Student membership if offered to any full-time undergraduate student, or graduate student, who is not certified by the NSCA Certification Commission as either a CSCS or NSCA-CPT. Privileges include:
- Attend meetings and conferences
- Vote in NSCA general elections
- Receive Strength and Conditioning Journal, Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, and NSCA Bulletin
- Receive membership services
Married Partner Member
Married Partner membership is offered to any member who is married to another Certified Professional or Professional member. Rate is reduced due to receiving one set of journals per household. Privileges will be equal to either the Certified Professional or Professional member depending on the Married Partners' certification status.
Certified International Member
Certified International membership is offered to any member, living abroad, who is certified by the NSCA Certification Commission as either a CSCS or NSCA-CPT. Privileges include:
- Attend meetings and conferences
- Vote in NSCA general elections
- Eligible to hold office
- Eligible to serve on NSCA committees
- Eligible to chair NSCA committees
- Receive Strength and Conditioning Journal and Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research
- Receive membership services
- Eligible to speak at conferences and workshops
International Member
International membership is offered to any member, living abroad, interested or affiliated with the strength and conditioning field who is not certified by the NSCA Certification Commission as a CSCS or NSCA-CPT. Privileges include:
- Attend meetings and conferences
- Vote in NSCA general elections
- Eligible to serve on NSCA committees
- Receive Journals
- Receive membership services
