    Welcome Address
by Heath Pierce, MEd, CSCS,*D, NSCA-CPT,*D, RSCC
John will cover the anatomy, function of thoracic spine and discuss interconnections of the body regions through the thoracic spine and highlight training strategies.
Overhead throwing athletes are a population commonly encountered by strength and conditioning professionals, yet these athletes are dramatically under-served in the context of their sport-specific needs. In this presentation, Eric will discuss their unique needs and training protocols to accommodate them.
Anterior core stability is crucial not only for lower back health, but also high level performance and optimal upper and lower body function. In this presentation, you’ll learn assessment protocols and training progressions to improve anterior core stability.
To understand Postural Restoration (PRI)™, one must appreciate structural and dynamic asymmetry, the science of respiration and their role in movement and function. This presentation seeks to educate the sports clinician on ways to integrate PRI™ concepts into rehab and training.
Science is starting to change the way we look at food. Want to know what you and your kids will be eating? In this talk Brian will discuss what’s on the horizon for those of us who like to eat, and like to eat healthy. Join him for a fascinating exploration of the future of food and for use-able, practical strategies you can put into action immediately.
The sport of ice hockey uses motor patterns unlike any other sport. This presentation identifies how these motor patterns are different and why hockey players should not be trained like other athletes. The presentation will also show some strategies to help make players maximize their training time on and off the ice.
