    Session Descriptions
    Welcome
    by Carmen Bott, CSCS
This presentation provides science-based, field proven methods to improve the physical capacities necessary to maximize athletic performance in speed-power activities. A holistic and integrated approach to athletic development will be discussed and training progressions for speed, agility, mobility, plyometrics, strength training, and general fitness training over the course of the year will be provided.
Millions of people seek medical care each year for a shoulder injury. Injury reoccurrence rates are very common for this body part and return to full activity is often problematic. An internationally published scapular stability assessment technique and tool will be brought forward to measure scapular dyskinesis. Scientific based corrective exercises and the assessment technique will be practiced.
Dr. Michael Hartle will discuss the various powerlifts and several effective mobility exercises and how they can help move you and your client towards your strength and conditioning goals. By utilizing his observations, you will walk away form his presentation more acutely aware of what it takes to succeed in the gym and on the playing field.
