Ah, the long-awaited rebirth of the forum. Is it a little too little, a little too late? Will members come back to the NSCA forums for industry discussions or are they settled into discussion groups on social media networks like LinkedIn and Facebook. I'm very curious and would love to hear people's thoughts on this. (BTW, I'm up for good discussions anywhere I can find them. So I'll be here.) Best wishes, Mark Nutting

All,
I booked an extra room at the conference hotel at the conference rate. If anyone is still needing a room, let me know by 1 July, otherwise I will cancel the room.
Healthy regards,

I think it is a matter of marketing to and educating the NSCA members that this can be a powerful avenue for the members than the social media.

Personally, I am looking fwd to the PT forum. Hope to post and participate often! Are there any trainers here who specialize in Pre-Post Natal Client training? If so, would you recommend specific certifications, resources, etc.?
Best Regards,

Hi All,
Mark - It was great to meet you at the PT SIG. I hadn't thought to attend the SIG meetings in the past so it was good to get an exchange and flow of ideas.

Sorry, a complete aside as I can't seem to start a new post. What are the dates for the Personal Trainer Conference in March 2013? I don't see it listed on the website. It's a busy conference month and a man's got to make plans. (or woman)

Hi everyone,
I'm really looking forward to this forum for advice and support as I am currently studying for my PT cert. I am a former professional basketball player in Europe and looking forward to learning everything I can to help people in their personal fitness and life goals. I believe fitness and a healthy lifestyle isn't only a given period of time in someone's life, rather a CHOSEN LIFESTYLE!
Let's make a change!

CPT SIG:
First I want to thank everyone who attended the CPT SIG at the National Conference. The more we can all network together the more successful we can be. A quick reminder that we will be hosting a CPT SIG meeting at both the Personal Trainers Conference and the National Conference annually.
As a member at large/secretary for the CPT SIG I will be monitoring the Personal Trainers forum. I invite you to post as often as possible with any questions or requests that you might have. Our ultimate goal is to elevate the standing of the Certified Personal Trainer and make the NSCA-CPT profession a well respected and educated elite level of fitness professionals. Anything we can do to assist you in accomplishing these or your personal goals please, let us know.
Thank you again and I look forward to networking with you!
