Career Center
The NSCA Career Center is an on-site interviewing service at the NSCA National Conference and the Sport-Specific Training Conference. This service is designed to allow employees and employers to meet in a professional setting. The Career Center is a free service for NSCA members.

To List a Position Opening
- Employers will give position openings to the Career Center and an NSCA Position Available Form will be posted on the Career Board. Employers are encouraged to submit the position opening prior to the conference. However, positions can be posted on-site, if necessary.
- Applicants will review the position openings posted at the Career Center on the Career Board. To apply, they will complete an NSCA Career Center Application that will list when they are available, when they will be at the conference, etc. They must attach a current resume to the form and submit them to the Career Center staff member.
- The applications will be compiled for each employer to review. Employers will arrange a time to come by and review the applicants and select those individuals they wish to interview. The Career Center staff will arrange interviews. The interviews will be posted as soon as they are arranged at the Career Center. Rooms will be arranged in which to conduct interviews. If a representative from your organization will not be available our staff will forward all resumes to you.
To Apply for a Position
- Potential employees will need to bring to the conference:
- Resume and references (bring multiple copies, 10 – 15 copies recommended)
- Any supporting materials (letters of recommendation, etc.)
- Be prepared to interview
- When you arrive at the conference, check in at the Career Center located near registration.
- Employers will give position openings to the Career Center and an NSCA Position Available Form will be posted on the Career Board. This form will tell you the position title, a description of the duties, the starting date and the qualifications needed. Green forms indicate a graduate assistantship, yellow forms indicate a professional (full-time) position and blue forms indicate an internship. When you find a position for which you would like to apply, complete an NSCA Career Center Application, attach your resume (and any additional information) and submit it to the Career Center staff member. You will need to complete a Career Center Application for each resume you submit.
- These applications will be compiled in books for each employer to review. They will select those individuals they wish to interview and the Career Center staff will arrange interviews. The interviews will be posted as soon as they are arranged. It is important for you to stop by the Career Center to check the interview list periodically.
- If you are selected for an interview your name will be posted on the Career Board with the day and time of the interview. You will be instructed to go to the Career Center to pick up an interview card that contains the name of the individual you are to see and where the interview will be held. Please come to the Career Center 15 minutes before your scheduled interview to make sure there have been no changes concerning the interview.
